Biography

Yasmeen Khan is a Consultant Solicitor advising on family law and residential conveyancing, having qualified in November 2024 after almost a decade of pre-qualification experience in family and children law.

Yasmeen acts for private clients across the full range of family law matters, with experience in private children proceedings, including multi-child cases involving fact-finding hearings, Scott Schedules, and allegations of domestic. In addition to this her practice involves preparing and advocating for clients in non-molestation and occupation order applications and advising on divorce and financial proceedings.

Before qualifying, Yasmeen spent close to eight years working in family and children law. On qualifying, she went on to undertake public law care proceedings acting for and providing legal advice to Cambridgeshire County Council Children’s Services. She is currently working towards the Law Society Accreditation in Family Law and is a member of Resolution .

Since earlier this year, Yasmeen has been developing her practice in residential conveyancing, gaining experience in freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, transfers of equity (including those arising from divorce settlements), remortgages, and executor, probate, and auction sales, including the complexities of leasehold transactions.

Beyond practice, Yasmeen is a mentor with The BAME Woman in Law, supporting women from underrepresented backgrounds as they build careers in the legal profession.

Yasmeen combines technical rigour with a plain English, client-focused approach, guiding clients through what are often some of the most difficult periods of their lives with clarity and care.
