What is Family Mediation?

Family Mediation is a service that entails the enlisting of a professional, usually a solicitor, who acts as an impartial mediator between two parties whom cannot agree on a particular issue. The range of issues that can be covered under Family Mediation are varied but most commonly include the following; matters relating to arrangements of your child’s care, and financial or asset-related matters such as property or debts.

As Family Mediation casts quite a wide net, there are many other fields covered. If the issue you are experiencing is not covered here, please get in contact and a member of our team will be more than happy to help you with your enquiry.

There are many benefits to choosing Family Mediation services instead of going to court:

  • The cost is most often significantly lower than going through the courts.
  • Mediation almost always has a much quicker turnaround than the average court process.
  • The stress of going to court can often be overwhelming, whereas mediation circumvents a lot of these aggravating and high-tension factors.

If you wish to resolve familial issues without the stress and expense of going to court, then Family Mediation may be the perfect solution for you.
